Respiratory Risk Report
Week ending in July 25, 2026
Biobot’s national wastewater network continues to show that SARS-CoV-2 is elevated across all four U.S. regions. The summer COVID-19 wave is here and growing.
The rest of the respiratory virus picture remains quiet. RSV, influenza A, influenza B, and HMPV are all circulating at very low levels, with activity either stable or declining.
Bottom line
COVID-19 transmission is rising across much of the country. It’s a good time to be a little more aware, especially if you’re traveling, heading to a crowded indoor event, or spending time with someone at higher risk of severe illness, including older adults, babies, pregnant people, and people who are immunocompromised.
The good news is that flu, RSV, and HMPV remain low.
