Respiratory Risk Report
Week ending in July 11, 2026
Biobot’s national wastewater network continues to show rising SARS-CoV-2 levels across the country, driven largely by increases in the Midwest and West. After three consecutive weeks of increases, the summer wave appears to be underway, although it’s still too soon to know how large it will become.
RSV, influenza A, influenza B, and HMPV remain at very low levels, with activity either holding steady or declining.
Bottom Line
The SARS-CoV-2 summer wave appears to be underway with community transmission increasing across many parts of the country. Now is a good time to start paying closer attention to local trends, especially if you’re traveling, attending large indoor events, or spending time with older adults, babies, pregnant people, or someone who is immunocompromised.
The reassuring news is that RSV, flu, and HMPV remain low or continue to decline.
